Shopping in Falmouth
Falmouth has a charming mix of shops, from specialist outlets to well-known high street names and art galleries. Falmouth’s main shopping area runs just behind the harbour front, sheltered from the easterly winds, and extends from the High Street and The Moor to Discovery Quay near the Maritime Museum.
The High Street is the original gateway to the town, and is Falmouth’s oldest street with a fascinating collection of period buildings and an eclectic mix of shops, pubs and restaurants. Continue to Market Strand and Prince of Wales Pier, where you will find Falmouth Tourist Information Centre and where you can enjoy the view.
A Farmers Market takes place on The Moor every Tuesday morning, or visit the regular market here on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Continue behind the harbour front along Market Street, Church Street (with St Georges Arcade), and Arwenack Street for more shops and restaurants.
Discovery Quay, also known as Events Square, hosts a programme of smaller and bigger events throughout the year.
